✅ Articles were reviewed that describe the use of AI to analyze images to diagnose infectious diseases.  The focus of this study was to review current views on attempts to apply AI methods in daily practice, as well as to search for promising methods to diagnose infectious diseases in the most efficient way.

✅ In this study, the presence of anaerobic bacteria in the lungs of healthy and CF individuals was determined. The total frequency of these bacteria was higher in the healthy group than the CF group. The abundance of Gram-positive Lactobacillus bacteria, as potentially beneficial bacteria, was lower in the CF patients than in the healthy individuals.

✅ The results of this study indicate that mutations in the gyrA (gyrase gene) are a significant mechanism of resistance to fluoroquinolones. Identifying these mutations can aid in the detection of fluoroquinolone-resistant isolates and simplify treatment challenges by selecting the appropriate antibiotic.

✅ Highlights:

• P. gingivalis and T. forsythia were identified as abundant microbiome in periodontal disease samples.

• S. sanguinis emerges as a potential negative biomarker, opening new avenues for oral microbiota-based diagnostics.

• The findings underscore the salivary microbiome potential as a rich source to identify novel biomarkers.

✅ Highlights:

• The patient and healthy controls were meticulously matched with respect to ethnicity, sex, and age. Therefore, the final result was more reliable because the role of these cases as influencing factors was eliminated.

• The presence of C. difficile in the colon content of CRC patients was significantly higher than that of the healthy group.

• By using the TaqMan method, due to the use of a specific probe, we will be more confident about the high accuracy of DNA identification of the studied bacteria.

✅ Administration of a suitable antibiotic along with a safe efflux pump inhibitor for the treatment of A. baumannii infections can help to reduce the material and spiritual damages caused by the resistant bacteria.

✅ Highlights:

• P. gingivalis mples.ZnO NPs were synthesized via a green chemistry approach in an inexpensive friendly way.

• S. sanguinis emerge. ZnO NPs showed optimal antibacterial activity against Streptococcus mutans.

• The findings un ZnO NPs in reaction with eugenol improved the effectiveness of temporary dental fillings.

✅ Monkeypox can spread rapidly among humans. Over 10,000 new Monkeypox virus (MPV) cases were reported between May 4 and July 12, 2022. It is transmitted through contact with infected animals, respiratory droplets, and shared items. Symptoms are similar to smallpox but milder. Smallpox is caused by variola virus (VAV).
