Iranian Journal of Medical Microbiology

Aims & Scope 

The Iranian Journal of Medical Microbiology (IJMM) aims to publish high-quality research in the field of medical microbiology. The journal is peer-reviewed and open-access, ensuring that all published articles are freely available to readers worldwide.

The scope of the journal encompasses studies on bacteriology, virology, mycology, parasitology, and other microorganisms relevant to human health, with a focus on the pathophysiology, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of infectious diseases. IJMM also covers molecular and cellular microbiology, microbial genetics, immunology, molecular epidemiology, antimicrobial resistance, and the development of antimicrobial agents.

In addition, IJMM welcomes research in applied and translational microbiology, including food, environmental, oral, and biotechnological microbiology, as well as studies employing emerging technologies such as bioinformatics, artificial intelligence, and data-driven approaches when applied to microbiology or infectious disease research.
