Data Sharing Policy

1. Purpose:

The Iranian Journal of Medical Microbiology (IJMM) is committed to promoting transparency, reproducibility, and scientific integrity. Data sharing enhances the credibility of research findings, enables independent validation, and facilitates further research in the field of medical microbiology.

2. Data Availability Statement:

• All research articles must include a Data Availability Statement describing how the data supporting the results can be accessed.

• This may include:

            1. Links to publicly archived datasets in recognized repositories
            2. A statement that data are available from the corresponding author upon reasonable request
            3. An explanation if data cannot be shared due to ethical, legal, or privacy restrictions

3. Reproducibility and Transparency:

• Authors are expected to describe their methods in sufficient detail to allow others to replicate their findings.

• Sharing of code, protocols, and supplementary materials is strongly encouraged where applicable.

• Authors should ensure that shared data adhere to ethical guidelines and data protection regulations, including anonymization of human or sensitive data when necessary.

4. Encouragement to Use Repositories:

• Authors are strongly encouraged to deposit their data in trusted public repositories to facilitate access, citation, and reuse by the broader scientific community.

• The journal supports compliance with community standards for data sharing in microbiology and related biomedical research.
