زمینه و اهداف : هدف پژوهش حاضر واکاوی نقش و کاربرد آرشیوهای پزشکی و سلامت در پژوهش‌های علمی بر اساس موضوعات پژوهش‌های نمایه شده در WOS است.
مواد و روش کار : پژوهش حاضر از نوع توصیفی با رویکرد علم‌سنجی و روش تحلیل هم واژگانی و فن خوشه بندی سلسله مراتبی و نمودار راهبردی انجام شده است. جامعه پژوهش، پژوهش های مرتبط با آرشیو پزشکی است. نرم‌افزارهای HistCite، Bibexecl، UCINET، Execl و SPSS جهت تحلیل داده‌ها استفاده شده است.
یافته ها : در سه دهه اخیر تعداد ۳۲۳ پژوهش مرتبط بازیابی شد. انتشار پژوهش‌ها روندی افزایشی با میانگین نرخ رشد سالانۀ ۳۴/۸۷% داشته است. کشور ایالات متحده و Univ Pittsburgh از نظر میزان انتشار و دریافت استناد جایگاه اول را کسب کرده‌اند. ایران با ۷ پژوهش جایگاه ۱۴ را دارد. حوزه GENERAL INTERNAL MEDICINE با ۴۱ پژوهش در میان ۸۸ حوزۀ علمی مشارکت‌کننده، بیش‌ترین سهم را داشته است. کلیدواژه mortality بیش‌ترین فراوانی را دارد. خوشه‌بندی هم واژگانی در پژوهش‌های آرشیو پزشکی منجر به تشکیل ۷ خوشه شد. یافته‌های حاصل از محاسبه نمره تراکم و مرکزیت نشان داد «خوشه ۳: پزشکی هوشمند» دارای بیش‌ترین مرکزیت و «خوشه ۶: داده باز» دارای بالا‌ترین نمره تراکم است.
نتیجه‌گیری : آرشیوهای پزشکی نقش مهمی در کشف علل مرگ و میر و به دنبال آن کاهش مرگ و میر، پیشگیری از بیماری ها و خطرات و شیوع آنها، بهبود تشخیص ها، درمان ها و نهایتا ارتقای وضعیت نظام سلامت و بهداشت دارد.
