Background and Aim: Salmonella spp are pathogenic for human or animals, which aquired by oral route. They are transmitted from animals and animal products to human, salmonella causes enteritis, systemic infection, and enteric fever. So the goal of this investigation is evaluation of Salmonella spp and medicine resistance pattern in poultry feces to tetracycline, ampicilline and cotrimoxazole in kerman city.
Materials and Methods: In this survey, 1000 poultry feces samples were collected from a slam kish in kerman. Samples transmitted to microbiology Lab in selenit F for enrichment . Then samples cultured on SS agar and incubated in 37°c for 24 hours then , performed biochemical tests for identification Salmonella spp and 5.6% (56/1000) were positive for among them. Then, drug resistance pattern was carried out with disc diffusion and agar dillusion method, to determination of MIC for tetracycline, ampicillin, cotrimoxazole.
Results and Conclusion: In this study 56 Salmonella spp were isolated in this rigion .Drug resistance pattern to antibiotics such as tetracycline , ampicillin and cotrimoxazole were: 55.3%, 7.5%, 35.7% with average MIC respectively: (MIC≥16µg/ml) (MIC ≥ 32µg/ml) ( MIC ≥ 4.76µg/ml) From 56 Salmonella spp which were isolated from this region ,the most resistant was to tetracycline.
