زمینه و هدف: اکتینومایستهای دریایی باکتریهایی گرم مثبت هستند که به‌صورت آزاد، ساپروفیت یا هم‌زیست با گیاهان و جانوران از جمله اسفنجهای دریایی دیده میشوند. اخیرا به‌دلیل نیاز به داروهای جدید، به میکروارگانیسمهای دریایی به‌عنوان منبع جدیدی با پتانیسل تولید متابولیتهای منحصربه‌فرد، توجه می‌شود. هدف از این مطالعه، جداسازی و شناسایی اکتینومایست هم‌زیست با اسفنج دریایی چندشکلی S۱۲ جمع‌آوری‌شده از اعماق آبهای استان بوشهر و بررسی فعالیت ضدباکتریایی آن است.
مواد و روش‌کار: ایزوله اکتینومایست از اسفنج دریایی S۱۲ جمع‌آوری‌شده از اعماق آبهای بوشهر، جداسازی شدند. ژن۱۶SrDNA  ایزولۀ مذکور با تکنیکPCR  تکثیر و توالی‌یابی و نتایج حاصل با استفاده از برنامههای بیوانفورماتیک Bioedit و MEGA۶ برای شناسایی و تأیید ایزوله ارزیابی شد. سپس فعالیت ضدباکتریایی عصارۀ ایزولۀ جداشده با روش انتشار در دیسک روی میکروارگانیسمهای بیماری‌زای Escherichia coli، Bacillus cereus، Klebsiella spp.، Salmonella spp. و Proteus spp. انجام شد.
یافته‌ها: در این تحقیق، براساس مطالعات فیلوژنی مشخص شد که ایزولۀ مدنظر متعلق به جنس استرپتومایسس  است و با توجه به میزان هومولوژی با سایر گونههای استرپتومایسس می‌توان آن را گونهای جدید معرفی کرد. مطالعات بیوشیمیایی نشان داد که تمام تست­های انجام‌شده به استثنای تست­های گرم و کاتالاز منفی است. ایزولۀ مطالعهشده  فعالیت جالب توجهی علیه سه باکتری بیماریزای انسانی Escherichia coli، Bacillus cereus و Salmonella spp. نشان داد که بیشترین فعالیت ضدباکتریایی آن علیه باکتری Salmonella spp. با قطر هالۀ در حدود ۱۶ میلی‌متر بود.
نتیجه‌گیری: اسفنجهای اعماق آب‌های استان بوشهر اکتینومایستهای هم‌زیست با خود دارند که منبعی غنی از متابولیتهای ثانویه با فعالیت زیستی هستند. نتایج نشان داد که سویۀ اکتینومیست جداشده یک گونۀ استرپتومایسس جدید با فعالیت ضدباکتری جالب توجه است. این تحقیق اولین گزارش از جداسازی اکتینومیست دریایی هم‌زیست با اسفنج در ایران است..
