زمینه و اهداف: استافیلوکوکوس اورئوس یکی از پاتوژن‌های مهم منتقله از غذا می باشد. اهداف این مطالعه تعیین فراوانی، تیپ های مولکولی و الگوی مقاومت دارویی سویه‌های استافیلوکوکوس اورئوس جدا شده از نمونه‌های گوشت در شهر تبریز بود.
مواد و روش کار: شصت نمونه گوشت گوساله و مرغ خام از فروشگاه های مختلف گرفته شد و در محیطهای انتخابی مولر هینتون براث حاوی ۱۰%NaCl تلقیح گردید. شناسایی جدایه‌ها با روشهای بیوشیمیایی معمول انجام گرفت. حساسیت به آنتی‌بیوتیک‌های مختلف با روش دیسک دیفیوژن و ژنوتیپ جدایه‌ها با روش spa typing  تعیین شد.
یافته‌ها: پانزده سویه استافیلوکوکوس اورئوس از ۶۰ (۲۵%) نمونه گوشت مختلف جداسازی شد که به ژنوتیپ ‌های t۱۴۸۷۰ ، t۳۸۰۲، t۱۸۱۴ ، t۴۹۱  ، t۳۸۶ و t۳۴۲۴تعلق یافتند و  t۱۴۸۷۰ با فراوانی ۳۳.۳% به‌عنوان فراوانترین spa type شناخته شد. spa type سه جدایه نیز در پایگاه داده‌ای Ridom Spa Server یافت نشد و به‌عنوان تیپ های جدید در نظر گرفته شدند. حدود ۴۶/۶% از جدایه‌ها به بیش از یک آنتی‌بیوتیک مقاوم بوده و ۱۳/۳% به‌عنوان استافیلوکوکوس اورئوس مقاوم به متی‌سیلین شناخته شدند. تایگی سیکلین، ایمی پنم و سفتارولین موثرترین ترکیبات علیه جدایه‌های استافیلوکوکوس اورئوس بودند.
نتیجه‌گیری: نتایج این تحقیق نرخ آلودگی ۲۵% با  استافیلوکوکوس اورئوس را نشان می دهد. غالب تیپ های مولکولی مشاهده شده به عفونت‌های انسانی ارتباط داده شد. مقاومت آنتی‌بیوتیکی بالایی در میان جدایه‌ها مشاهده شد که هشدار جدی برای سلامت عمومی محسوب می‌شود.
